Our Five Step Process

  • AFC’s first step is about getting to know you and your company. We will schedule a personal consultation with you, as the plan sponsor, to learn more about your company and your retirement goals. This personal understanding of your business builds the foundation for a customized approach to your retirement plan design.

  • After the identification of plan goals, AFC will work closely with you to select a retirement plan type that will match your goals and objectives. This step will include drafting the necessary IRS required plan document to implement the retirement plan.

  • After execution of the retirement plan documents by the plan sponsor, AFC will communicate the established retirement plan provisions to the designated financial institution holding the retirement plan assets. AFC will work closely with your CPA and financial advisor to ensure proper plan operations are established.

  • Our comprehensive annual administration services guarantee compliance with pension regulations and deadlines, allowing you to focus on what matters most.

    Annually, AFC prepares a complete valuation, or more frequently if required/requested. The valuation includes:

    Determine employee eligibility

    Calculate contributions

    Compliance Testing

    Reconcile Plan Assets

    Calculate participant vesting

    Preparation and electronic filing of annual IRS federal regulatory forms

    Provide Summary Annual Reports, Participant Benefit Statements and Lifetime Income Disclosures

    Additional services are provided on an as needed basis.
